DON'T GIVE IN TO DEFEAT.
Thomas Edison con
ducted 1000 failed experiments". Everytime I stumbled upon the phrase, I wondered the kind of man "Thomas Edison" was. He failed the first time he tried, failed the second time he tried, failed again the third time, and again and again till his failure amounted to 1000 times.
Does it mean he didn't face any major break down in his trying times?
Does it mean he never face any major setbacks, challenges, mocking, dealings, life disasters?
He did, but He never allowed himself to be used and dumped by failure, disappointment, disgrace, setbacks, challenges, life disasters, stories that touch and most especially DEFEAT. Until 1000 and 1 experiments happened. The light bulb came alive and the story changed.
Too easy do humans feel rejected, defeated, and we choose to settle for misery at the expense of our burning desires, undying passion to achieve our dream. Most of us feel defeated even before starting a project or executing a plan.
Reading from a book titled "The power of positive Thinking". It says the first step towards accepting defeat is to think it.
"For if you start to think it's hopeless, your state of mind will actually attract further trouble to defeat you".
The second step to accepting defeat is to talk it.
"For if you do, you can talk yourself into acceptance of defeat".
If "Think it or Talk it" can surface in your plan or dream, the chances of winning is very slim.
When the going gets tough, forget not,
- Never quit. "DEFEAT" Don't think it, don't talk it.
- Keep a positive mindset. Remember you can only overcome the mountain ahead of you by thinking over it.
- Adopt the motto "it's always too late to quit"
- Speak the positive word.
- Get to know yourself, know your weaknesses and your limit and work hard to get better.
- Don't stop trying.
- Don't forget, mistakes, regrets, victories, and people you meet are all part of the magnificent journey.
- Never stop believing.
"You can if you think you can".
